IT'S TIME TO BID FAREWELL ...πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜”   This week marked the culmination of our teaching practice at VPS Malankara HSS. As the week progressed, the realization dawned upon us that we were soon to bid farewell to our beloved students and the entire school. I completed teaching all the lessons, conducted the activities, and furnished them with essential study materials. However, my heart was weighed down by a profound sense of sadness. With each passing day, this feeling intensified. Our collaborative efforts bore fruit, culminating in the completion of our class magazine. Witnessing the talents of my students, many of whom showcased impressive artistic abilities, was truly remarkable. The final day was an emotional challenge, as I struggled to bid goodbye to those I had grown so attached to. Holding back tears and offering comfort proved to be difficult tasks. In a gesture of appreciation, I gifted tokens to those who excelled in ...

A VENTURE TO BEYOND THE CLASSROOM....πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’—πŸ’— This marked the penultimate week of our teaching practice journey. During this time, I concluded teaching the remaining portions of "Song of the Dream" and transitioned to the next segment, "Song of a Dream." I also administered an achievement test that covered content from both "Maternity" and "Song of a Dream." I was pleased to witness the majority of the students excel in the examination, which brought me great joy. Additionally, an Arts and Crafts exhibition took place this week, in which many of my students participated and even secured 1st and 2nd prizes. This achievement added to my sense of happiness. The week also featured an assembly organized by the DLED teachers to honor the memory of APJ Abdul Kalam. The assembly included a variety of programs, among which a mesmerizing dance performance stood out and left a deep impression on me. As the week progressed, a tinge of sadness began to settl...

MOULDING MYSELF......😊😊😊😊  The sixth week of our teaching practice phase evoked a bittersweet sentiment, as the realization that our time was drawing to a close settled in. An emotional attachment had formed, especially between us and our students. This week brought both general and optional observations, contributing to a sense of anticipation. I undertook the task of teaching the chapter 'Tolstoy Farm,' an excerpt from Gandhiji's Autobiography. However, I didn't feel satisfied with my performance, leaving me disheartened. Yet, our tutor's encouraging words served as a source of solace, motivating me to persevere and give my best. On the subsequent day, I revisited the chapter and focused on ensuring everyone grasped the material, punctuated by interactive questioning. Their responsive participation uplifted my spirits. Subsequently, due to ongoing exams, I didn't have regu...

The fifth week of our second teaching practice phase unfolded smoothly. With each passing day, my bond with the students deepened, and their level of engagement remained consistently high. Their attentiveness during class, coupled with their active participation and queries, added to the positive classroom dynamic. During this week, I focused on teaching grammar concepts such as subjects, predicates, and verbs. The students responded positively, and to gauge their understanding, I randomly selected a few students to solve questions on the board. Their excellent performance filled me with satisfaction. The week concluded with an assembly marking the conclusion of the Reading Week, which was marked by a series of diverse programs. On the whole, the week proved to be a delightful and enriching experienceπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
