TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2 WEEK 2 (19 TO 23 JUNE)๐๐๐
The second phase of our second teaching practice period concluded on a positive note. I became increasingly acquainted with the school's routines, timings, and most importantly, my students. During this phase, I covered the remaining portion of "Learning the Game," a captivating chapter that engaged the students. I introduced them to intriguing activities and also furnished them with comprehensive notes for both "Learning the Game" and "The Race."
Remarkably, the class exhibited a high level of attentiveness and cooperation, allowing me to effectively manage the classroom dynamics. The teaching sessions progressed exceptionally well.
In addition to my teaching efforts, I harbored a plan to initiate a classroom magazine to uncover the creative talents within the students. I hadn't shared this idea with them yet, intending to do so in the upcoming week.
The school was abuzz with various activities due to the ongoing Reading Week, which aimed to instill the significance of reading in young minds. I offer my appreciation to each individual who played a role in orchestrating these valuable initiatives.
The week presented a mix of fascination and busyness, as we were engrossed in crafting lesson plans, organizing classroom materials, and devising engaging activities. Striving to manage these tasks, I believe I exerted my utmost effort. Similar to the previous week, we continued to share the responsibility of overseeing the noon meal duty.
Moreover, during this week, a new responsibility emerged. We were entrusted with supervising students who boarded the second shift of the school bus due to the teachers' attendance at meetings. This extra duty extended our presence until around 4 pm, which, while somewhat tiring, added a different dimension to our experience.
Nevertheless, aside from these commitments, the week was indeed delightful. As we look forward to the days ahead, our anticipation for positive experiences remains high.
