A VENTURE TO BEYOND THE CLASSROOM....πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ’—πŸ’— This marked the penultimate week of our teaching practice journey. During this time, I concluded teaching the remaining portions of "Song of the Dream" and transitioned to the next segment, "Song of a Dream." I also administered an achievement test that covered content from both "Maternity" and "Song of a Dream." I was pleased to witness the majority of the students excel in the examination, which brought me great joy. Additionally, an Arts and Crafts exhibition took place this week, in which many of my students participated and even secured 1st and 2nd prizes. This achievement added to my sense of happiness. The week also featured an assembly organized by the DLED teachers to honor the memory of APJ Abdul Kalam. The assembly included a variety of programs, among which a mesmerizing dance performance stood out and left a deep impression on me. As the week progressed, a tinge of sadness began to settl...

The game was to roll the dice and play snake and ladder along with that one have to cross certain phrasal verbs. Whenever they climb the ladder, or swallowed by the snake the students have to repeat the phrasal verbs along with their meanings. It will be repeated through out the end of the gameπŸ˜€  After that, I gave them activity cards which contains exercises based on the phrasal verbs I taught.. The students did it very well.                               MOULDING MYSELF......😊😊😊😊  The sixth week of our teaching practice phase evoked a bittersweet sentiment, as the realization that our time was drawing to a close settled in. An emotional attachment had formed, especially between us and our students. This week brought both general and optional observations, contributing to a sense of anticipation. I undertook the task of teaching the chapter 'Tolstoy Farm,' an excerpt from Gandhiji's Autobiography. However, I didn't feel satisfied with my performance, leaving me disheartened. Yet, our tutor's encouraging words served as a source of solace, motivating me to persevere and give my best. On the subsequent day, I revisited the chapter and focused on ensuring everyone grasped the material, punctuated by interactive questioning. Their responsive participation uplifted my spirits. Subsequently, due to ongoing exams, I didn't have regu...

The fifth week of our second teaching practice phase unfolded smoothly. With each passing day, my bond with the students deepened, and their level of engagement remained consistently high. Their attentiveness during class, coupled with their active participation and queries, added to the positive classroom dynamic. During this week, I focused on teaching grammar concepts such as subjects, predicates, and verbs. The students responded positively, and to gauge their understanding, I randomly selected a few students to solve questions on the board. Their excellent performance filled me with satisfaction. The week concluded with an assembly marking the conclusion of the Reading Week, which was marked by a series of diverse programs. On the whole, the week proved to be a delightful and enriching experienceπŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

T he week unfolded under the constant embrace of rainfall, with the weather persistently gloomy. Despite the continuous rain, the local authorities did not declare any official holidays. The start of the week offered a respite, as Monday was observed as a holiday due to St. Thomas Day. On the subsequent day, our tutor, Henna ma'am, arrived to observe our class. I was assigned the second hour for the 9 A class, prompting me to make thorough preparations. During this session, I delved into teaching a poem titled 'Bang the Drum,' crafted as a tribute to the Olympic athletes. The feedback I received was notably positive, particularly regarding my recitation skills. My students cooperated admirably, and Ma'am advised me on effective time management. She expressed her satisfaction with my class, which left me content. In the span of the week, I concluded teaching the chapter 'Bang the Drum' and commenced the next chapter, 'Maternity,' which takes the form of...

The third week of our teaching practice phase unfolded, commencing with the observance of International Anti-Drug Abuse Day. The school orchestrated a well-organized event, including informative sessions that raised awareness about the perils of drug use. The emphasis on steering clear of drugs was particularly noteworthy. As the week progressed, I found myself growing closer to my students with each passing day. During this week, I administered a diagnostic test, which yielded positive results for the majority of the students. For those facing challenges, I conducted remedial teaching to address their areas of difficulty. To infuse an element of interest into the class, I integrated ICT (Information and Communication Technology), leveraging videos and images that resonate well with the students' preferences. The week turned out to be exceptionally fulfilling. Yet, I'm eager to further enhance my teaching prowess, both for my personal growth and to provide an even more enrich...
